Chris is originally from the mitten (Michigan), growing up around the Metro-Detroit area. He went to college in Baltimore, Maryland at Maryland Institute College of Art. Originally studying graphic design, then animation, then "interactive media". During the pursuit of interactive media Chris started building robots - "Art teachers dont make the best engineering role-models" - so he went back to Michigan for several months, found a pre-engineering program in Colorado and moved out west.
Chris started at booj as a junior level front-end developer and within the first year started participating in cross-department front-end work, and taking over the mobile development beta projects. After a successful web-based mobile product launch, he switched departments to the Data team, eventually coming to lead the team.
Chris still heads the Data team in importing the RETS and other IDX feeds from the MLS boards, normalizing the data for the applications, and represents the team that handles everything from third-party data imports to media-serving to syndication to server / linux administration.
